Sean Towey has work published or forthcoming in American Literary Review, Crazyhorse, Barrelhouse, Chicago Quarterly, and elsewhere. His essay "Low-Voltage Hope" appears in the 2019 Orison Anthology. He earned his PhD from Florida State University, where he was the recipient of a 2016 Emerging Writer Award, chosen by Debra Monroe. In 2019, he was a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers' Conference. He grew up in Tacoma, and he teaches English in St. Louis. 

Sean is currently at work on his debut literary novel, Flower.
